FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS COURSE
OVERVIEW
This is our general Fire Safety awareness course specifically acknowledged as the minimum level of training required under the law. Designed for all members of staff / volunteers & includes the practical use of Fire Extinguishers.
Who should attend:
Anyone who may have to respond to a fire alarm and or use a fire extinguisher if confronted with a fire in its early stages.
Duration:
To the clients requirements but normally we prefer the course to last at least 2.5 hours including the practical training session, to cover essential subjects.
Theory instruction:
Meeting room, Classroom or Training room.
Practical Instruction:
Conducted in a safe outside area subject to Risk Assessment.

Practical input:
Use of a Water extinguisher for ‘A’ type fire on waste bin trainer
Use of a Foam extinguisher for ‘B & F’ type fire on liquid pan or tray simulator
Demonstration of Fire blanket
Use of CO2 extinguisher for fires involving an electrical hazard
Note: Practical subject to Risk Assessment and weather conditions.
